2/19/212 - After some technical difficulties, Daytona picks and Survivor picks are now up. It will be better going forward as I get back into the swing of things with the website.  It looks like we'll start the year with 46 regular season teams and 26 Survivor teams.

The Edwardsville Moose Lodge is sponsoring the Daytona race and also hosting a get-together. Race coverage starts at 11am CST but be sure to get there early because there's usually a big crowd. MERC members should bring a side dish, snack or dessert. See you there!!

2/6/2012 - The send picks page and also the send Survivor picks page should be working now.  You may need to refresh your browser for the updated pages to load.  Please contact me right away if you still have a problem sending picks.

2/2/12 - The Send Picks form is not working right now.  I'm trying to figure it out but if you need to send picks in right now, email them to either weeklypicks@merclub.com or to me at careising@gmail.com.  Make sure to include your team name and number, who your 3 picks are and for what race. I'll post an update as soon as I get it fixed.

1/31/2012 - Things are starting to come together!  We met at the Moose on Sunday and saw some old friends and met some new ones.  There are no rule changes for this season so what is up on the website is current.  Right now we have 2 teams rejoining us after a year off and at least 3 additional teams. I haven't heard from all of last year's teams yet but I'm guessing we're going to be around the 50-team mark this year (last year we had 44). AND there's still 2 weeks left to sign up!  If you want to send your money in, make your check payable to MERC and send it c/o Cathy Reising, 6815 Hoxey Drive, Worden, IL 62097. Please include your team # and team name, your name and address, phone, email and what you are paying for. $100 for the regular season (plus $10 if you're a rookie). If you want in the Survivor series it's $10 per team. You can also pay ahead for the 2nd half Survivor series now too. The Edwardsville Moose will host a get-together for us to kick off the season with the Daytona race and they are also going to sponsor the race! Plan on coming out and meeting some of your fellow MERC members, bring a covered dish, side or dessert and let's have lots of food and fun!  There will be a 50/50 drawing and I've heard rumors that there may even be a drawing for a die cast car or two. The Moose has been a big supporter of the MERC club for many years and is a great organization to have in our community.  If you'd like to find out more about them or are interested in becoming a member, catch up with Bill Dittmar or Paul Brooks at the get-together and they can fill you in.

1/22/2012 - The Rules Meeting is only ONE WEEK AWAY!  Sunday, January 29th at 1pm, we will be at the Edwardsville Moose.  We'll go over the rules for both the regular season series and the Survivor series, you can also pay your dues at that time and just catch up with other team members.  I'll also be signing up sponsors. If a sponsor or individual would like to sponsor a specific race, let me know as soon as possible so I can put their name on it. 

The website is still a work in progress but I think the main pages are done. As you navigate around the site, let me know if you find something not working correctly or if you have any suggestions for other changes.
